In the interests of better communication, we want to let you know that the sprinklers are not going to come on today. The reason for this is that we have discovered a leak in the system. This is costing us money and wasting water.
There is no evidence of the leak on the surface. West Jordan Water Department has an app that we can use to monitor water usage. That’s how we found the leak.
Even though all the sprinkler distribution systems are turned off, the water has still been running. The water turns on at 7:00 pm and runs until 4:00 pm the next day. From 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the water turns off. Then it starts over again the next day. This has been happening ever since we turned on the main sprinkler water line in April.
We are actively looking for what is causing this. If you are aware of any very soggy areas around your home or if you have any ideas about what may be causing this, please let us know.
